Amanda Bossard was just out her high school days when she started her marine biology education at Alaska PacificUniversity in Anchorage. Bossard started her career as a commercial seafood expert at the age of 1999, after she began working on board the F/V Sunset, a 65' halibut-schooner, which has become a salmon tender for Murat Aritan. She has been who has been a commercial fisherman since 1993. Bossard has been married Aritan. They have now united and claim their respective industries. They both believe in saving as well as profiting from renewable resources in the fishing industry. Otolith is a direct wholesale seafood distributor which was founded in Philadelphia in 2007 by a mother of two young children: Bella age 3 and Andre aged 1. Her husband has a long experience in the industry of fish and often they are separated from each other for a period of five or more months. That's when they are focusing on their financial and environment objectives. In July 2016, Bossard as well as her daughters Isabella aged 12 and Andre age 10 Andre aged 10 returned to Southeast Alaska annually each summer to work as deckhands throughout the harvest of wild salmon in the summer.
